You said he liked the Beretta, and he’s obviously important to you, so I’d probably stick with giving him the Beretta.
might be more meaningful since you can say I noticed you shot it well, so besides all the other reasons, I want you to have it.

It is definitely more accurate than I am. My only complaint is how quickly it fouls up. After 100ish rounds it starts getting sticky on chambering. A quick wipe down of the feed ramp and bolt and it's good for another 100ish rounds.
That’s my exp as well.

He was having trouble deciding between the Beretta or the Browning,,,
So I did the only logical thing I could think of,,,
I gave him both pistols.

Honestly, I won't miss either one too much,,,
I still have one NEOS pistol as well as the one dedicated to the Carbine.

The Browning,,,
I fondled it more than shot it.

Besides, if I ever want to shoot the Browning,,,
He'll have it all decked out with an optic by then.

I'm gifting away a handgun today,,,
I just don't know which handgun it will be.

I have a very close friend who has a great job and makes good money,,,
He is also one of those guys who loves being a Daddy,,,
He has six kids and the last is in the oven.

He actually named the 5th one after me!

He is a responsible guy though who has a great paying career,,,
But as you can understand most of his pay goes to family expenses.

His main non-family fun-time is recreational target shooting,,,
He has a nice AR that he built and a CZ-452 Trainer for a rimfire rifle,,,
What he doesn't have though is a semi-automatic target pistol in .22 rimfire.

We are starting to play a range game we blatantly adapted (stole) from Rimfire Steel Challenge,,,
I won't go into the details of the game yet but it involves paper plates.

Anyways, a few weeks ago we were out at the range,,,
We were shooting my Beretta NEOS collection,,,
Two Pistols and the Carbine Kit.

He really liked shooting the 4.5" NEOS and was quite good with it,,,
Since he and his kids are going to inherit the majority of my guns anyways,,,
I decided to wrap up one of the NEOS pistols with all of the original stuff and gift it to him.

But then I got to thinking,,,
Which is always a dangerous thing.

Years ago I assembled a group of what I thought were the 4 most popular target .22 pistols,,,
I have this one case that holds the following guns:
* 6" Ruger Mk-III Standard
* 7" Browning Buckmark
* 4.5" Beretta NEOS
* 5.5" S&W 22A

I decided to get them and the accessories all back in their original cases,,,
And let him choose the one he would like out of the 4.

I also have a cased pair of 5.5" Ruger MK-III 22/45 slab-sides,,,
But since these are my "Modern Dueling Pistols",,,
I'm keeping them intact for myself.

He doesn't know about this as yet,,,
I'm hoping to surprise him later on today.

Just out of curiosity,,,
Which of the four would you good folk choose?
