[QUOTE="slas, post: 3345587, member: 39669"] A while back I finally saved up enough money to buy me a used Cooper 280 AI that I had been wanting for a while, and it wasn't cheap. The scope that I really wanted for it was very specific. Reminded myself of Ralphie on Christmas Story: I want an Official Red Ryder carbine action two-hundred shot range model air rifle, but mine was a Nightforce ATACR 4-16x42mm F1 ZeroHold Mil-R Scope. Needless to say I didn't have the $2300-$2500 to put out for one so......I ended up trying multiple scopes on it, a Leica ER-5, a couple Leupolds but none were the ATACR. I Finally started coming to the realization I just wasn't going to have 2K to put out for one so I ended up buying a new Burris Veracity 3-15X50 for it a few months back. Great glass for the just over $500 price I got it for...but ended up never putting it on, and always pining for the ATACR. Was looking through scope ads on the long range hunting site yesterday and saw my scope for sale for $1900. Now, I didn't have that much, and those scopes seem to get sold withing an hour or two, but I did have some cash and my like new Colt Defender in 45 acp. I've tried to do some cash/trade deals on these scopes before, but to no avail. I went ahead and threw it out there to see if the guy might bite. He said he didn't own any handguns and probably wouldn't be interested, my hopes dashed again, but he asked for pics so.... I guess the Defender won him over and I made the deal. I'm now waiting on my version of that official Red Ryder, and my Cooper will be topped with equal quality.....I should've just waited and saved before buying all the other scopes for it, but as many of you other shooters out there know, patience is hard when you want to go shoot.....but I do have a very nice Burris Veracity 3-15X50 if anyone is in the market...........
