Relevancy: Florida v. Jardines; Florida v. Harris; both are drug dog cases before the Supreme Court this term. The former centers on the question of whether your front porch is considered part of the curtilage of your home for Fourth Amendment purposes, and the latter centers on whether applicability of evidence established by the use of a dog should depend on training and field records maintained by the department conducting the search.
