my newer ithaca sxs is the 10gauge magnum with snail ears

Looks can be deceiving but it looks to have been taken care of. Looks like Proof Steel Barrels. Barrels should be marked as such.Does anyone know of a shotgun 'smith who can look over this circa 1900 Ithaca to see if it's safe to shoot?

Proof marks should be on the barrel flats and the action’s watertable. You may want to run it up to Champlin’s in Enid so they can look at it. They’ll definitely be able to tell you whether it’s safe to shoot or not
