Yeah, its getting nuts. When we were signing our lease on the rental house in Sapulpa the owners said it was a 12 month lease. Knowing we want to start looking at properties soon we asked for a 6 month lease. With land and housing prices so freaking crazy we are going to ask to extend the lease to 12 months. Really don't want to deal with the chitshow the real estate market is right now. We are even seriously contemplating reducing our land size from 80-160 acres to 20-40 acres with a nice home and then buying a house as close to the OSU campus as possible and make it an AirB&B. Might as well put some of the cash we have to good use making us some money.

Here is the situation. Liberals love inflation and the interruption in the supply chain causing shortages resulting in higher prices.
If the price of your goods and services double, the taxes double.
There is a reason there is not a flat tax. The libs need a tax in proportion to the price of the product so when they create inflation, they create tax wealth for the gubberment.
That's how the progressives say their tax and spend plan is paid for.
Inflation is the tax on the middle class while making the dependent class even more dependent on government handouts which buys their votes.
Meanwhile the rhetoric about only increasing taxes of those making over 400K a year is pure BS.
You and I are paying it now, way before the rich are.
Corporations just pass along any tax increase on them to the consumer. They have to maintain a profit to stay alive. The middle class has to suffer and pay.

Spot on. All of it.

Want to know what is worse for us on SS? Our COLA is based on inflation that has already occurred. We've already suffered with the inflation before the "adjustment." Even worse, if the rate of inflation continues to rise AFTER the third quarter, the adjustment lags even further. I think there is a need for a compensation payment for the loss of buying power for retirees each year in addition to the COLA. We paid for it all our working years. Which ever party passes such legislation will secure a large voting block- large enough to retain a majority until SS is done away with.

I'm tired of it. How about the rest of you?
