I tend to agree, because sometimes they're quite different things. Not sure why, but I've heard that "license" carries more weight than "permit" in legal-speak.

Same reason I'm an OU fan instead of OSU. Easier to spell.

very true...I am betting we don't start seeing billboards on every corner advertising holsters like we do marijuana. Otherwise I fully agree.
Rep Lowe has just filed an emergency appeal to the state Supreme Court...
You are correct in your assessment, my wife and I took a firearm course at a home and it was all of 2 hours, no range time at all, no familiarization with a firearm. The guy just went over the law booklet and asked if it was ok if we didn't go tot the range (he may not have had a car). We paid our $90.00 and left and haven't shot a gun since. This may shock a lot of you guys but I'd be willing to bet if you were honest something similar happened to you also. There was mandatory training with the old law. Was it proper training? Thats widely debatable but it was in the law that 8 hours of classroom and range time be done.
Not in Oklahoma but you won;'t be able to carry in some states.Actually mine says "Concealed Weapon License."
But then again, it's expired 'cause I don't need the sumbicth in about 12 hours and 19 minutes.
