To reiterate what others have stated earlier, it’s projectile length and weight that determine what twist rates will stabilize the projectile. That’s why the chart(s) are a guide and not a hard and fast rule.
Good point...
The main reason that the military went to the 1:7 twist on the M16A2 was the M856 tracer. The bearing surface was so long that the 1:9 could not stabilize it. The M249 was the first recipient of the 1:7.

Definitely the ammo. This thing is one of the best shooting ARs I have with the right ammo. So I put 21 rounds thru it just to test the 55gr ammo...11 rounds of Tula (apparently I can't count...thought I loaded 10) and 10 rounds of basic Remington. The pictures tell the story. All shot standing. I've always had really good luck with Tula ammo and this gun shoots it REALLY well...
