I have been learning a lot from Youtube about machining and gunsmithing.

My son is a machinist/ CNC operator and started me down this road since we used to mechanic a bit together before he moved away.

Here is something that just fascinated me. It's called wringing.


Post some things you have learned.

Another of the many things I see daily that remind me of how much there is out there of which I know nothing.

However, as to the block wringing the explanation is simple: magic!

I have learned no matter how easy it seems to replace a set of pistol sights yourself. There is a decent chance you probably shouldn't. That mistake just cost me the amount of money it will take to replace the front sight and then take it to a gunsmith and have it done right.
I have learned a lot about S&W revolver maintenance and repair that has worked great though. You Tube comes in handy sometimes.
