[QUOTE="Mad Professor, post: 3318695, member: 5316"] The rear sight on the G44 appeared to be the same adjustable sight that came factory on my Gen 4 G34s and G41s. I dug out on original rear. The rear sight on the G44 is narrower by .188”. The one for the G34 does not exceed the slide width on the G44. They using the slimline (42/43/43x/48) width spec on this gun for some reason. My gun with aftermarket sights is a bit more finicky with Standard Velocity ammo compared to the one with stock sights. It may not be the sights, it may be the gun. I’m going to order a different rear that is lighter and see what happens. Likely I’ll put a stock set back on it to try with marginal ammo to see the difference, before putting a final aftermarket sight back on. My sight combo is 1/3 oz heavier (.366oz) than the stock sights. The entire slide weights are 4.7 oz stock and 5.05 oz. not a lot of total difference. The difference is primarily in the rear. After weighing all of the above, I changed the from sight on my stock gun to an Ameriglo ProDot and blacked the stock rear like we did with Pstmstr’s gun yesterday. It appears to be a really good inexpensive change that my eyes pick up much faster.
