It's an interesting illumination of how much commerce depends on the vagaries of nature:

This planet is a massive system that swings like a pendulum. It goes in cycles. There is no global warming or cooling. Its all part of a predeictable cycle. Those preaching otherwise are doing so for personal gain.

Back in the 80s lake michigan was way up. There were houses along lakeshore drive literally being washed out into the lake. I saw pics of the beach when these houses were built back in the 20's. There was like 200 yards of beach before the water!
Now just 30 years later, there is about 20 to 30 yrds.
The lake levels seem to move in a 100 year cycle
