Irrational Gun Pet Peeves

Boring summer so... What are your gun pet peeves, rational or irrational?

I have several but one that bugs me all the time is when a magazine tube protrudes the end of the barrel on a shotgun. It just doesn’t look right and it’s like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I know form over function, more is more, your money-your gun, Murcia and all... but it just bugs me.

At the indoor range, there are dividers between each stall. Most people stand as far forward in the stall as possible, so that their arms and handgun extends in FRONT of the divider. You catch brass from sometimes as far to the left of you as four or five stalls.

I will be first to say it. I am a clip vs mag nazi. Clips are for chips and magazines. Magazines are for guns.

1: The label "assault rifle"

Assault rifle is a legitimate classification of a firearm. It's a select-fire rifle firing an intermediate rifle-caliber cartridge. It comes from the German Stg-44, where Stg stands for sturmgewehr, literally "assault rifle."
Semiautomatic assault rifle is an oxymoron. It is not possible to be both semiautomatic and an assault rifle.
Semiautomatic assault weapon is just word salad. That phrase has no meaning, it's just words strung together.
