Is .22 ammo back? (Found .22lr with high purchase limit)

Academy on NW Expressway in OKC has stacks and stacks of it on the Customer Service counter and the purchase limit is 1000 rounds!

Federal, Aguila, Browning, Winchester Super-X, CCI and multiple types of each brand. No bulk packs, just 50 and 100 round boxes, but still. I was shocked when the salesman said 1000 round limit.

There aren't any steals but most of it is $.07-$.10 a round depending on brand and type.

Thought ya'll might like to know

WalMart on Memorial in OKC had 50 round boxes of CCI Stingers. Haven't seen those on their shelves in years.

Academy website also sells LR at same as store prices, free shipping $25 or more purchase. I've been getting 10 boxes/day, each order ships free. And they aren't out of stock of EVERYTHING (YET)....
