About this time last year, I came up with a small stress fracture below one of my artificial knees, and then a quick bout with Covid. Between the two, I got badly out of shape in a hurry. (Not a really good shape to begin with). I couldn’t walk past two homes and back without being totally out of breath. Been working on it and just this week I was able to take a two mile walk in the evenings. Not satisfied yet, but for being a 75 year old accountant, that’s not too bad. Trying to get back to at least five mile walks. Too answer the original question, at least trying to be “in shape” is quite important no matter what the age or occupation.
