Is this a legitimate adult crossbow?

Seems awfully inexpensive. Thought I would go out and pick this up since crossbows are allowed for everyone now

I haven't seen the regs for crossbow minimums yet.
If I'm not wrong, its 45 lb pull for a longbow or compound.
At 245fps, Its certainly fast enough.

Ha! I saw that thread and never even opened it because I figured it was him asking for a good crossbow and I had nothing to input. I only opened this thread because it was a slow morning and needing something to fill my time for a bit.

Yep, thats an adult crossbow. It will kill game,however at 245 FPS it is on the slower side. That being said you will pay A LOT more for xbows that will shoot 300+ fps.

Well, I think yes, it will work if it's accurate. It's got the power. Likely it is accurate *enough*. So my guess is yes, on a budget, that'd kill deer just as well or better than a bow shooting out an arrow at that same speed. That's the speed generated by the general range of 50-60 lb compound bows, give or take, which is plenty. I say "or better" just because it's easier to hold steady and you don't have to draw with game present.

It's fine. Just old school, no wheels on the limbs. Lots of fun to load.
