I was followed home by a Stevens 87T this time. It's the 87A but with a 22" barrel and in a Tenite (a type of cellulose plastic) stock. Overall it's not in bad shape but the front sight is a wreck. This one dates to 1949.

The only problem is that I haven't found an 87M or a Model 7 yet.

Hell yes brother! I love junker gats. Bought a 60's Marlin 60 from the LGS for $25. Barrel was shiny, bolt functions are great, but the mag tube lug has been beat out of its dovetail. JBWelded that dude back on, hacked off the stock, and the nephew got himself a good second 22 for xmas.

My youngest brother has an old double barrel Stevens with a stock made out of that stuff.

I do not know what model my Gill gun is but the stock is made of that and is broken in 2.
I think I lost a couple pieces of the bolt also.
It was my grandfathers and then my dads and then I ended up with it and in all the moving it got broken somehow.
That is the most accurate .22 I ever shot.
