With the 2 huge snowfalls that soaked in very slowly and all this other moisture & precip, its gonna be really green - the deer & turkeys will have a lot to eat everywhere. Unlike the drought years (eg 2007 spring), where the turkeys were concentrated in the deep bottoms looking for bugs, this year they could be anywhere (assuming you dont know their roost that is, which I don't). In any event, the food abundance will hopefully help those who barely survived this winter's harshness.

All in all, we have had a fairly mild winter around NC Okla. I have rios on a place, where I plant wheat. Went over there yesterday, and there were lots of signs where they had scratched through the snow to get at acorns.
