I just have to have one, I guess. Looking at the Kimber Custom two tone II 1911. Anyone have experience with these and what's a decent price? It's in 45 and on sale at Cabelas. Buddy just picked one up and it shoot great.
Just looking for a good 45 1911, don't have to be a kimber.
Suggestions?

I have a Custom Crimson Carry II 45 and I love it. Very accurate (for me). I carry it every day and yes it is a little heavy for concealed OTW but I feel comfortable knowing if I need it, it is reliable. Have 45s in Colt, Rock Island, don't remember what all and a custom long slide but the Kimber is my Go To gun

Forgot, I bought mine "used" at a gun show about 8 years ago for $700. The guy told me it had only been shot 7 times and it looked it.

Cabela's has this one on sale (according to Cabelas ) for 700. I'm not dead set on a kimber but do want a good accurate 45 1911. This one just looks so damn good.

Kimbers are certainly pretty and accurate. $700 seems like a good price.

But at the risk of causing butthurt, not reliable in my personal experience. Some folks have them and have had nothing but good luck. Both mine didn't run well enough to keep. Years later I discovered a stronger recoil spring might have cured both of them.

I guess the itch is for a 1911 45. The Kimber part was holding and shooting one yesterday. Probably not carry very much but will be shooting is a lot at range and maybe in competition (Local steel shoots). My carry is a Cz with HC mag's.
