I can certainly understand the need for light loads with skeet chokes. I have to be careful of houses and cattle and such before I cut loose with my long range loads. Given permission, I shot the side of an old metal barn at just under 300 yards, and it peppered the heck out of it, plus busted the side glass out of an old pick up truck that was behind a briar patch that we never even saw! That's a long haul for sure, but those magnum #2's still had a little bit of energy left to them at that distance.
