Are not leather holsters for striker fired guns known for collapsing with use and depressing triggers at holstering, and why plastic holsters dominate the world of plastic guns?

I quit carrying a plastic gun and holster at around 6.

I mean, kydex is a legit material. Definitely locks in the gun if you're active and jostle around. I've bought used kydex holsters made for other guns and used a heat gun to modify them for mine. They definitely have their place. My daily carry goes in kydex.

I just know of verified instances where leather covers over triggerguards have gotten pushed in and discharged striker fired guns, one notable time with a cop in his car, where arm pressure on butt of gun had leather depress trigger, crease his upper thigh and exit bottom of car, and that hard holsters are pretty much mandated for LEOs with striker fired guns for that reason. Carry what you wish and how you wish, but that problem with leather and the latest/greatest guns deserved mention no matter how great the bargain.
