I am trying to repair an old pump .22 for an old friend of my wife, I’ve tried every parts supplier on the internet with no success. The part I need is the slide lock. Hopefully someone reading this has one that they can part with

I don't have any parts for this, but here is some info to help you on your quest.
Knowing exactly what you are looking for often helps in the search. I assume you are looking for one of the Locking Lever parts (or assembly).

----------------------------

This was made for Sears by High Standard and was called the Flite King under the manufacturer's brand.

Numrich has some parts.

eBay can also be your friend.

Perhaps this will also help.
Here is are some images of a manual for the JC Higgins Model 33. It includes disassembly as well as an exploded drawing and parts list.
Make sure it's not just assembled incorrectly.

Thanks for the help but yes, I’ve tried Numrich etc. The action bar locking lever is what I need. it must have had a high failure rate because none of the parts suppliers have any under either the JC Higgins brand or HI Standard.

Is this the flavor you're looking for? Jack First has lots of stuff. I have never ordered from them, but my understanding is that most of the stuff they sell is made in house, replicating hard to find or obsolete parts.

JC Higgins 33 .22 pump rifle

Thanks, I had forgotten about Jack First. I will second that Jack has a good reputation.

Yep, it sure is, I really appreciate your help. Could you educate me and explain how you found it? I’ve searched Ebay at least 15 times with no success.

I'm not sure there is a trick other than luck and persistence. I just searched for "JC Higgins 33" and scrolled through the results.

I don't always get so lucky. I've been looking for an inner magazine tube assembly for a Noble 33A for a couple years. I'm still looking.
