Joaquin Phoenix deserves an Oscar as Best Actor for his performance. The movie was a little slow at first, for me, but watching him take the character from a sad guy employed as a low dollar Rent-A-Clown to where he ends up is darn good work.

We saw it at the Westpoint 8 in Yukon, a really nice, clean movie theater with reclining seats and plenty of leg room. It's one of the best movie theaters in the Metro IMO.

That theater's remodel really made a big difference from the way it was. Hope they keep it nice.

I quit going to Westpointe when I saw how amazing B&B 8 in El Reno is. Plus, most nights, a uniformed sheriff is selling the popcorn so it's presumably "safer" .
But seriously, it is an amazing theater and the last dozen times we've been to the movies have been there. It's kind of in the middle of a field, south of El Reno beyond a hill. I've also never seen it above 40% capacity. For SpongeBob 2, Dark Tower, Detective Picachu, It#1, and JW3, there were less than ten people in the theater with us.
I also haven't seen Joker yet, and I'm embarrassed to say I never got around to seeing IT chapter two. Haven't been since opening night of JW3, and at that showing there was our group, and one single other lonely dude. [IMG][IMG]

I've just seen the clips on tv but, I told my wife he'll get an Oscar. I'm also picking Renee Zellweger as Judy Garland ( only seen the clips again).

Saw it this past weekend. Fawk them if they don't give him the Oscar. I don't even care for him that much, but he was incredible in this.

Finished watching it today.... WOW is all I can say.

Not really a gratifying moment in the movie,(well maybe the DeNiro scene) just wow.

    Oscar worthy for sure

I don't think I'd want to waste my time using the search function to find it.

Absolutely zero interest in anything to do with him.
