Channel cat or Blues? My uncle was a died in the wool trotliner on Kaw. Crawdads were the only bait he would use catching channel cat in shallower water.
I tried crawdads on the same lake using jugs along the old river channel. weight at 20' Hook depths at 15', 12' and 9'. The lines with crawdads never lost a bait. We filled both ice chests with blues from the cut shad. No channels.
