When I lived in Oklahoma City I was called in for jury duty for Juvenile. Was in the pool for 3 days. Got called into the courtroom for a trial of twin males for armed robbery, but not seated.
Got seated on a Fed jury in OKC after I moved to Logan county . Gun possession AFCF and drug manufacturing. 3 day trial, 6 hours deliberating. One of the most difficult things I have ever done.

Been called 6 or 8 times here in Logan County . Never been seated, but have been in the pool twice.

Depends on what jurisdiction.. could be county, state, federal…. No need to worry about it as you have no control over outside of becoming a felon.

The second was a federal court in OKC for the guy that stole an M203 from his unit.

The third was a 2015 murder I was called for this year.

I didn't get to play because of my LE career.

I know it use to be with voter registration but thought they changed that to the DL some years back because they was always getting the same pool and wanted some fresh meat.
I just know the last time i got called i was escorted out of the courthouse and told not to ever return and havent been called on since.

Well, that was pretty convenient.... at least you were already going to be there!

As someone else also said, I believe it is based on drivers license now, I saw several articles to that effect. It think it did USED to be voter registration.

Because i refused to answer questions about my wife and kids ages and where they worked and went to school and other personal questions about them, felt like i was on trail for something instead of being a jurior.

I heard that having a valid driver's license in OK means you are in the pool of eligible jurors, but do they categorize you by the county you live in or some other geographical boundary?

I live in Cleveland county in the gray zone that is SW OKC/Moore/Norman. If I get summoned to be a juror, am I going to get stuck driving to downtown OKC or downtown Norman?

Its by County that last time I had jury duty. I lived about 1 block inside of the Logan County line and ended up driving to Guthrie for a couple of weeks for Jury Duty. Pays a whopping $20/day! Gas and lunch pretty well takes care of that. The old Court house had no air conditioning and it was a hot ole..well you know. On the good side of things we did send a pedo to prison.

That’s definitely pretty sketchy questions to ask, especially if the defendant is in the courtroom to hear everything.
