Bridge on River Kwai
Black Hawk Down
Hurt Locker

and not a movie but IMO blows away Saving Private Ryan and I loved that movie...... Band of Brothers.

Lonesome Dove and Saving Private Ryan are two of the best. But Romancing The Stone is right up there too.

The crap they make today

Heartbreak Ridge...... All I have to say is - RECON!!!!!!



It was entertaining, in its own way, but about as far away from real as it gets. Too bogus and full of old USMC cliches to me to be classified as Great. And I don’t think “Recon” is anything like what they portrayed in the movie, but that’s just me.

Been watching Band of Brothers again an episode after work all week. Definately my favorite war related movie/ series. Tried to watch the BOB Pacific and just was not the same.
