I know near nothing about ak’s. Have always liked the looks of the (hopefully I’m correct) SKS74U rifles. A picture in another thread for me looking and holy cow are they proud of them.

so... now I’m looking at parts kits. Could someone who k owe what they are looking at tell me if these are good or crap?

thanks

To keep it simple first ones good, and the second third ok they are mix masters. Only problem with the first is it may be confiscated from customs. If I am recalling right the parts including the mags still have to be imported through a firearms dealer. All types of BS paperwork and extra money. Some people do it and some gets through. Kind of like importing Cuban cigars back in the day. Kind of an expensive iffy

If I remember right the kit cannot have barrel, mag or receiver when imported.
Kind of expensive junk.
Can't use full auto fire control, no barrel or mag must replace most everything else
with american made parts to be 922r compliant
So all your really buying is an expensive flash hider and a folding stock.

Thank you all for the help. I’m out of town and just looking on my phone. Did not notice that the one seller was out of the country. My thinking on that one was that it would likely be all from one gun and go back together better also it would be mostly tula (that’s a good thing right?). I’m seeing that an SBR does not have to be 922r compliant so Im not really worried about that at the moment. Definitely DON’t want F/A FCG at all. The build will be on the up and up. Form 1 and all.

The main problem I have is no time and too many projects. I love my projects

Have you given thought to putting together a look a like ? No time and too many projects go with a Draco or Pap and dress it up.. I gather your after the look and appeal rather than true and correct.
