The L1A1 is an inch pattern FAL from Australia. Unique to themselves. If I recall right cheep plentiful metric magazines don’t reliably work in them or maybe they have to be modified. Most all other FALs are metric. Like others have said this is made on a US receiver with a parts kit from a demilled rifle. Probably from the early to mid 2000s. I remember seeing lots of the parts kits for sale and wanting one. Like another poster mentioned the value could start out $800-1000 or up. I’ve haven’t been keeping track of certain weapons value for about 5-10 years so it could start out more. I still can’t believe run of the mill AKs are going $600-$700
