They charged $125. As I recall when I asked about the work last week they said that it would include refinishing but I told them not to refinish. I don't know if the price I paid should have include the refinish or not. Either way I feel like it was a fair price especially when I consider how fast they did it.


Even considering the $125 cost to install that trunnion this has to be the best deal going on building a 'correct' short AK. I have well under a grand in this including the cost of the stamp and the labor.

can I ask a couple questions.
why did you form 1 it if your not doing the actual build?
It is now a class3 gun and you will have to transfer it to them to be worked on.
Then they will have to transfer it back to you.

why didn't you have them just build it then transfer to you.

If the gunsmith doing the work has a class III or 07/02 FFL, there is no transfer required just to work on it.
