Only in Oklahoma. I think the grand jury is smoking LSD laced shrooms. Arkansas is looking better and better.

He emptied the mag on her or something, is that what they're claiming? Excessive force or what?

Story is pretty short on details, but then, the D.A. probably is not releasing much information.

I read a little about this on other gun forums yesterday. He fired 60 rounds and the DA considers it excessive force.

The next time they have an active shooter the PD should go get coffee and let the DA handle it. The officer is a fricking hero and the DA isn’t qualified to shine his shoes.

Thats what I read 60 rounds through his windshield with an ar15. I am withholding judgement till I hear more facts.

I’m reminded of Sheriff Grady Judd from Lakeland, FL:

In 2006, when asked why his deputies shot a suspected cop killer 68 times, he responded "That's all the bullets we had."

The old saying is "you can indict a ham sandwich". In a Grand Jury, the prosecution is the only "side" that presents evidence, no defense allowed. Plus a lot of evidence that would not be admissible in a trial is heard by the Grand Jury

The case, I understand, is from Blackwell, in Kay County. Who is the party that brought the case before an Oklahoma County grand jury? Or was it a federal grand jury? It does sound fishy.

The Kay county DA recused himself. OSBI sent it to the Stephens County DA for review because I think he was the one "on deck" at the time. He punked out and took it to a grand jury in OKC.
