    I know this is an old thread but it seemed to be the most appropriate place. I’ve never owned a gun. Just inherited 15 or so guns. Sold all but two to Big Boys.

    I kept two 1911s. I knew a little about their history and used them in call of duty years ago lol.

    Got another one. Second hand. Probably been through a few hands. Came with some pearl Punisher grips on it so I swapped them out for some cheapo walnut ones. It's an ATI .45 (Philippines). I probably overpaid at $250 since they can be had new for less than $400. Cleaned it up and am going to shoot it this weekend (hopefully).

    Here's my custom Colt 1991 deployment pistol from the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN-75) 2012-2013 pleasure cruise.
    I've since learned a lot about how to properly disassemble/reassemble the 1911.
