I have a 17 foot hybrid camper with a torsion bar style axle, that I use for deer hunting.
Today, I cut a couple of pieces of 2"X3"X.25" and made some risers for the camper.
The axle is an older style AL-KO brand axle. I could not find any premade risers.

Interesting. Can you help educate a man here? What purpose does this serve?
I hunt in the mountains, all logging roads with low water crossings. The lift keeps you from dragging the rear jacks as easy.
I flip the axle on my utility trailers to keep them from dragging in the rear.

Our RV is 36' long. you certainly have to watch for the back end to drag.
Looking at some of the older models, vs the newer models, they have lifted the newer ones a lot from the factory.
Yours should work even better.

Put some wheels and tires on it to match the tow rig...would be cool.
I'm just going to drag it to the side of a mountain and drop it until December. Then it will sit at my daughter's house until next deer season.
It has 13 inch tires on it now. I am thinking about trying to pick up some 14 inch take off trailer wheels, to get a little lift and better ride.

Do your axles sit above or below the leaf springs?

Below if I remember right. It sits pretty high. I'm too lazy to walk the 100 yds where it's parked to confirm that though. Been a big day.
I will be changing the axle mechanical gear in the future though. There are no grease zerks anywhere, and for a tidy sum with installation, there is a company that has developed a great product for tandem axles.

I had a 32' camper and it would drag easy in the rear, until I flipped the axle. If a camper has a dexter axle and you need to flip the axle the easiest thing to do is get and over under kit.

We are new to this RV gig. We spend a lot of time on RV forums looking for tips.
Thanks for the input. I'll do a little research on what you recommended.
