I want to put together a lightweight build. I've been trying to find a complete lower locally with no luck, I have also been looking for a complete 16 inch pencil barrel aero upper with a 15 inch atlas s handguard and no FA. Why is this so hard to find in stock? Is COVID still an issue? I have no problem overpaying "because of COVID" but I can't even find one in stock ANYWHERE.

Also what has replaced Armslist ? I have gone to every LGS here and they are all out of lowers or want $500 for a complete Anderson lower lol. Any advice on a lightweight rifle for self defense and possible shtf besides the pencil barreled complete aero with no FA? Thanks

What part of the state are you in? COPS gun shop in the city has a big selection of Aero stuff.
This is a good thread with lots of ideas.

Currently in moore. I stopped by there last week and sadly no complete lowers. Been looking for awhile now. Everyone says it's easy to build a lower but I'm in a weird situation right now where it's not possible at all what so ever. Not financially but space wise.

I would really consider the KP-15 polymer lower from KE arms.

Check out all the WWSD video from InRangeTV on YouTube. They have a whole build project that turned into its own rifle design. They partnered with KE Arms to design/manufacture the lower and Brownells for distribution of the complete rifles.

This is the video for the whole parts list and it sounds like your upper is similar.

How much do you want to spend on this lightweight build? I have a perfect Aero for this with two different barrels for it , and it has the atlas on it already FDE/Black Aero Thunder Ranch

It is the Thunder Ranch version super light weight, w/ Aero nickel boron BCG …. two barrels, and it has no forward assist.
