A few weeks ago I bought one of these just to see if it would work, I had read that they do work on some internet websites but was just wondering. I figured that for only $10 it was worth a try. They come in two sizes, one for bull barrels and a smaller one for normal barrels. So I took it out to the range and here's what I found out. First time out I shot at 100 yds with my Ruger Precision Rifle in 6.5 Creedmoor and here are the results. 1st test, 100 yds, Hornady 140 gr ELD Match, 3/4" with and 1 1/8" without. That's a 33% better. Next I went out another day and shot at 100 yds with some different ammo. Hornady Black 140 gr BTHP this time. I also tried with a bare barrel and with the sharpshooter only. This time it was 3/4" with both the factory brake and the sharpshooter and 1 1/4" with just the brake (also bare and w/ dampener only). That's a 40% improvement. Then I gave it a try at 300 yds which is as far as my local range allows. It was 1 7/8" with it and 2 1/4" without. That's a 16% improvement. My conclusion? It WORKS! It just occurred to me that I spent over $40 in ammo testing this $10 device!
