Not a Lionel, but still an oldie. I don't remember just when my folks bought me this train, but it was probably the late '40's or early '50's. Back in the day, besides the Lionel name, there was a company named Marx that also made model trains. In the case of Marx, they were less expensive trains designed for those of us that didn't have the money for a Lionel set. When the wife and I downsized to move into our RV, this is the one thing that I just couldn't (and haven't yet) given up.
