I have purchased raw land 3 times in the past 10 years. Bancfirst did mine.

I got a lower interest rate borrowing against my current dwelling when I went to purchase another property.
That was years ago though.

^ Like swamp said, a refinance or mortgage on your primary dwelling is the way to go if possible. Rates, assuming excellent credit and good debt to income ratio, are around 2.75% right now on a 15 year fixed.
