[QUOTE="Tom_Jordan, post: 3132205, member: 43755"] Anyone located near Vinita? I just spent 2 weeks fighting poison ivy and clearing brush I have exactly 300 yards to work with, my longest shot to date. I'd say it was a successful first try at 300 dialing in the Ruger American in 6.5cm I really need more ammo and time. The only bad part with this range, there is a slight hill that blocks the steel view from the table and mirage gets bad once the full sun kicks in. I'm heading back to relocate the steel posts up the burm soon. The Vortex 6.5-20X44 mildot works great but I'm still confused working the reticle. Hornady black 140gr drops 2.75moa from a 200yd zero I'm happy as a noob could be with ammo I suppose withiut using the reticle for compensation. My end game with this rifle, I want to drop coyotes at 600 yards by winter. I dropped my first with a headshot at 200 yards a few weeks ago the bthp bullet demolished the beast. Anyone shoot nearby, or have coyotes to be removed? Edit* this range is as far as I can really practice, but have access to a small piece of private land where a good 600yd shot can be made. The coyote grounds are a very delicate shot however, cattle and a house make safe shots very restrictive.
