Long Range Tips?

New to Long Range Shooting and would like some tips.
My Setup:
Savage BAS-K .308
Harris Bipods
Drag Bag
Soon to be a scope (NF, Huskemaw, or leupold)
Federal Match Ammo

Any Tips to being successful (up to 1000yds) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Guys,

Basic fundementals of marksmanship are the same no matter if you are 1 yard or 1000 yards. They just get more important the farther away you get. So the tip would be practice the fundamentals. :)

3. Buy cool stuff for your rifle (just kidding... its natural point of aim).

Presuming you're prone shooting - learn how to get into the prone position properly, learn to relax to the point of falling asleep on your rifle, and handle recoil without flexing into it or fighting it.

Proper grip/trigger pull and breathing are key as well. Learn some basics of Trig/Geometry so you fully comprehend Minutes of angles as well as Milliradians.

Practice consistency (once you've learned how to do things right) like it was your religion - there should be no variables from shot to shot, from session to session, from trigger-pull to trigger-pull.
