I have heard that When Worlds Collide was a better book, I may give that one a try. The Time Machine was pretty good, the 1960 version, even though it was kind of hammed up, the special effects where lousy, but that is what they had back then. The Machine in the 2002 Time Machine should be in the Smithsonian as a work of art. Just the glass work alone was amazing. The 2002 version was ok. The effects of the morelocks going into the sand was pretty masterfully done. Anyhow, that is what I am looking for. Going to look into When Worlds Collide. I hear the ending goes much more in depth from where the movie left off.
Sci Fi is what I am looking for. History (forgive me) bores the heck out of me. What is the point if you know how it ends. Besides, most of that I had to read in school. Hawking is not SciFi, it is more probable physics. I need a plot, don't care about sex in sci fi. Will look in to David Weber though. I am a BIG Sci Fi movie fan, Star Trek, Star Wars, Starship Troopers (the original, the really did a bad job on 2 and 3) Contact is about my favorite "realistic" Science fiction movie. Avatar the best visual SciFi movie. I am really looking forward to TRON Legacy if nothing else but for the new tech in the CGI from the old TRON. The Day The Earth Stood Still (1951) Forbidden Planet (1956) When Worlds Collide (1951) This type of Sci Fi is what I am looking for.
