Drives me crazy.

It sucks. I remember first moving into an existing house in the area, and it was nice being able to drive past fields and cow pastures between BA and Tulsa. Now they need signs saying “Welcome to BA” just so you know in what part of the over-developed areas you are.

Lumber prices haven't been adjusted to the lumberjack's salary I'd bet they haven't noticed any increases. That's the way things work. A couple of posts refer to the housing bubble of 2008, there were homes listed on Ebay selling for $50,000 that are now worth 5 times or more than that amount. If we'd only bought then and sold now...

Now the lumber prices need to drop some more to a reasonable $300 to $400 per 1000 board foot!
Considering only a handful of companies control the supply of lumber, I doubt we will ever see prices that low again. I hope I’m wrong. Make you wonder if the supply was artificially exaggerated recently.
