In June, I priced treated 2x12x24’ boards to refloor a trailer, and the price was $135/board. I called the same lumber yard today to see if prices had come down, and they quoted me $68.26/board. They’re currently out of them and said they may be even cheaper when they reorder.

Old post but relevant for the times we live in. I'm past sheetrock on my build. All the planning and pre-purchasing paid off to a certain degree. One item I wasn't watching closely was countertops. Prices doubled for the ones we want (Cambria) in less than 6 months.

We had pre-bought almost everything for our remodel. The shut down allowed me to get most of the work done. Catching da 'rona halted it. Almost to the point of being able to continue forward. The one thing we didn't pre-buy was counter tops.

I have a feeling the price downward is about to go 180°
