I hope this isn't against the rules...i'm asking this question for a friend...he has an M1 Carbine....made by Auto Ordnance, his problem is...the gas plug retaining nut keeps blowing out after few rds.
It appears that the threads are shot in the barrel, what he would like to know is... can it be repaired safely or does he need to replace the whole barrel.
