M1 Garand m2 ball ammo for sale

I'm looking for M1 garand m2 ball for sale in OKC, anyone know where you can pick up smaller quantities locally. I'd like to try surplus and the new manufacture ppu. I've got an m1 coming to me hopefully by the end of the month. Already have my sling and extra clips ordered.

Even the CMP ammo prices are edging upward into territory where it has to compete with modern brass-cased ammo that's Garand-safe. I haven't bought any HXP in a while because of this.

I noticed that cmp hxp was the same price as ppu from aimsurplus, maybe 70 cpr. Buying from cmp will be my fallback.

I have a good supply of HXP, so I've only tried one commercial brand (in a pinch, as I'd forgotten the HXP on one range trip), and that was two boxes of the American Eagle stuff, labeled "For M1 Garand Use". It shot fine; I'd say it's a bit cleaner and more accurate than the HXP.

Most people will tell you to reload, and the HXP brass is excellent for this purpose. I have yet to start doing that, though.

I picked up PPU at Cabelas last week for $16 a box to test in a newly acquired M1. I've already ordered the Schuster adjustable gas plug from Midway to be able to tune and tweak with any 06 ammo.

Sounds good! I have three M1 Garands and haven't shot a one. Gotta do it soon.
