I was digging thru some of my dads things and discovered some really interesting stuff. Anyone have an idea of a value of these? Found a couple original ammo boxes of it. Still looking thru his stuff. Just thought it was a cool find.

update: found some black tip on stripper clips and a full ammo box of empty brass

Looks like blanks. If nobody wants to buy them, there are some service organizations that still use M1's at funerals that would take the donation. The Enblocs may be the item that is the most valuable. Always wanted an M1 Garand, and almost bought one a couple of times but backed out.

Last time I'd seen any for sale, the black tip was going for north of a dollar a round, probably more now, good stuff! The clips were about a buck a pop also. I remember when they were under 25 cents.

I lucked into a few crates of ammo, just over 1600 rounds, all in embloc clips and on bandoleers right before the pandemic for super cheap. Basically sitting on a gold mine now

HMMMM! I've got's some crates like that. Never opened them. Thought they were 308 or x39.
Opened an ammo can the other day in my dad's basement. Had 1 spam can of '06 opened, 1 can sealed
both from WWII and a sealed case of 1911 ball 45acp dated 1965. A very interesting find.
A wood crate of '06 armor piercing
that I thought I hit the jackpot on til I opened it and there was only one lonely box in the bottom.
Never can tell what you find in basements of old people.

Definitely find some treasures, I bought this off an older gentleman who doesn’t shoot anymore. Danish ammo that is supposedly great for Garands. Haha luckily these crates are full, quite the feat to load a 1000 round wooden crate by yourself into a truck.

I had a friend of mines collection that I was slowly consigning awhile back, took two of those crates down to a big show in DFW and I told him if he had any more he was going to need to call a moving crew lol

Is headstamp dated? Not sure when transition was but current stuff has case crimped, rather than plugged. Used to know model numbers for both but have forgot. Happens when you get old.
