Thanks for the info guys, looks like a repro. No stamps on wood or metal. Good looking stock but not original. I bought it for my son but knowing it's not USGI I'll sell or trade this one and keep looking for a real one.

Yeah I'm pretty sure my stock is a repro as there are absolutely no visible markings anywhere on the stock. It's really not a bad looking stock though. If I had a carbine I'd probably try it on for size and see what it looks like. Thanks again for your input, now I know what to look for.
So my next question is does anyone have or know where I can get a carbine receiver? I want to do my own build but pricing them online is getting ridiculous. $600 for USGI and $500 for most aftermarket receivers. I could use any receiver that is milspec as I'm wanting to build a cheap paratrooper clone. I built a carbine about 18 yrs ago with a IBM receiver I got at Tulsa funshow for $250. Those days are long gone.
