I have thought about trying them for Shield magazines but the reviews are mixed for reliability so I'm thinking of going with the Striker +2.

$23 bucks to get another round! Also if you have another mag it is then $46 ....
I say buy another magazine and practice switching mags.
If you have not killed them with 8 rounds 1 more is not going to help.

Just my 2 cents..

Dude had one on Armslist, NIB for $20...so figured why not. I really like my P238, and an extra round is kinda nice. I'll have to go shoot it and see how they work, but I've hand cycled several mags through and it seems to feed smoothly.

I bought a couple for an m&p shield 9 and sent them back. They didn't seem like quality materials in my opinion. I bought the strike industries +1 and +2 and preferred those much more and the reliability was good with them for the little testing I did. I agree with what okierider said in terms of price for some of those kits just don't make it worth it.
