I'm not sure who you are or why you're insisting that I am somehow required to respond and answer your questions, as ridiculous and irrelevant as they may be. I've paid through the nose for several surgeries over the years. Some of those surgeries would not have been possible without procedures developed right here in the USA. I'd have to check but I don't think any of the technology used was developed in Canada or Sweden. As I stated previously, I favor capitalism over socialism in every circumstance. There is no historical evidence to make me doubt that position. I also favor individual responsibility. In most cases, some sort of medical coverage is available to people. Far too many people choose things like cigarrettes, cable tv, internet, cell phones, etc. to paying for insurance premiums and then cry foul when they need it and don't have it. In my business that is the case about 75% of the time. Beyond that, no ER that I know of will turn anyone away. Most ERs write off the majority of bills to customers who can't pay. There are exceptions to the rule as in any case. Those exceptions are hardly motivation enough for me want to turn the entire system over to our government even though they have done a great job managing the welfare system, social security, etc., etc.
