Marlin (Ruger) 1895.....Finally got to see one in person.

Out in the Mid-Del area yesterday and popped into King's.
Had just gotten in 2 brand spankin new Ruglin 1895 Guide Guns in .45-70.
One was on its way out the door.
It was an internal struggle of epic proportions to get out of there without it.
Looked good. Felt great. Man oh Man it was nice. Complete with Skinner peep sights from the factory.

May have to sell a couple in the safe and get one.

They also had that Ruger 5.7mm carbine in there too.

Yep. Guy at the counter with me looking at the Marlin had the 5.7mm carbine and said he loves it.

Full of both disdain and great appreciation for you.
Man I was having the darndest time talking myself out of it...don't think I would've held on.
Was going through the safe to see what I could give up.
Was planning on making a trip back tomorrow...guess I won't have to now.

At $1200 they're actually tempting. I still need to get my Remlin 1895G threaded. Of course I'll still have way less in mine than that, but there are some fit & finish quality issues.
