I have a Mauser es340B that has near perfect metal,,, The blue is still a deep color and is even over the entire rifle. The stock on the other hand needs help. Some past owner Bubba'd the stock,,, Trying to carve a simulated pistol grip and cheek riser,,, Along with a poorly patched crack and a bad attempt at refinishing. It does still have the large Mauser cartouche though. I love shooting this rifle and I bought it for a song,,, $245 plus shipping/transfer from Gunbroker. I was following a lead on 11 MM to Weaver adapters,,, When quite by accident I stumbled on this replacement stock. Click here please,,, After the new year I'm going to order one,,, And try my hand at putting a quality oil finish on it. The rifle itself is elegant as the old world craftsmen could make it,,, She really needs some good wood to allow her beauty to shine properly. I'll probably be asking for advice on using,,, That Birchwood-Casey oil finish I keep reading about. Anyways, I hope someone else can use this link too. Aarond .
