Maverick 88 short barrel

Looking for a 18.5 or a 20 inch barrel for a mossberg maverick 88. I read that the 500 barrels are the same. Let me know what you got.

The 500 barrel will fit as long as it is from the same capacity. IE 5+1 mav88 needs a 5+1 500 barrel. A 7+1 88 needs a 7+1 500 barrel. Also alot of the defence barrels are gone or astronomically priced. You may do better in finding a spare 28 inch barrel and cutting it down to 20 inches.

Thanks for the advice, I’m gonna look into that, I’d buy a longer one and cut it if I can find one. It came with a 28” with the rib, which I plan on keeping as is.

If you find another vent rib be sure to cut it to the 20 inch rib. It's ugly AF when people cut a vent rib to 18 inches, but only have 16 inches of vent rib.

28's are cheaper cut it, and either tap it, or stick on your front sight
