College is not for everyone. Neither is home ownership as we are finding out.

Most people would be better off learning a skill or trade, plumber, electrician, carpentry, mechanics etc than going to college.

Home ownership is not everyone either. Some people are better off renting.

I wish everyone the best.

I have missed you, my man ... Sell something so I have an excuse to come see ya!! 😘

And Joey ... Yes, my oldest chooses to be homeless. He will sit down and explain it to you in great length, much like you have explained how abhorrent home ownership and using investment property as a means of income is ... In fact, he is quite proud of himself for figuring out how to "make a living" without having to work -- even though he has worked in construction most of his life and is one of those people who can fix anything, and like you, could easily rent a place -- or buy one -- if that was what he really wanted.

Every time my phone rings and it's a number I don't know I'm afraid it's someone calling to tell me he's gone. He's my first born child -- I don't love him more than his brothers, just different. Why?? Because he saved my life. I was headed to a barditch with a tire tool up the side of my head. If there was trouble to get into, I was the first one in line to get in the door. His existence forced me to stop and take a long, hard look at how I'd been living my life. There is more than one way to commit suicide. Some ways take WAY longer than others, though. He's not the only one living with the consequences of his choices.

I'm curious what you think of Bitcoin and digital currency, I think I remember but don't want to jump to conclusions while ruining your meal ticket to free housing.

Since you have resolved your housing crisis, what are your plans to not get back into that type of situation?

Are you going to continue to pay rent to this landlord?

You have identified a very big problem in your life if you have a family and they need your guidance and protection, how do you plan to continue to help them understand where we have all went wrong and do you feel that they have learned anything about their future?

I won't tell you how rich/poor/hungry/dirty/tired I am because none of that matters when it comes time to pay that rent, 3 years ago I had 2 mortgages and I don't want to ever get into that situation again. It was too much work to buy a house and get another ready to sell, it took a year of daily work to get it right, in my opinion, and to let it go to the next lucky family who could afford my little house on the corner. Do you have any plans to make repairs on your abode?

If you are a renter that wants to work in lieu of payment, what skills do you have that would make me consider this as an option for you?

I hope you get it worked out, being homeless certainly is a challenge but it can be overcome with the right attitude and work ethic, let us know what your plan is to stay out of this and maybe some of us will extend you an opportunity to lease a property.

I find that highly unlikely after reading your posts but you never know, money is money and if the landlord lives far enough away it might work out. Communist don't own houses, neither do socialist but that was a good try in your first post, its easy to dislike both of them.

So, assuming no individual or entities were allowed to own more than one house. Where would people live that can’t afford to buy or build? Or the people that don’t want to own? No one has answered these questions.

Grizzly, has your mind changed any at all on this subject?

This is what happened to a lot of people. College turned them into broke 40 year old children.
You think that it was college that did that?

No...it wasn't college it was the unrelenting pressure placed on them to get a piece of paper that doesn't mean anything but your commitment to perpetual debt.

Just because someone "can't do college" doesn't mean the HAVE to be in a trade either. This conformity to what you assume is how society should work means jack S&@t.

I do inspections on bucket trucks for utility companies....there is no school for this, and matter of fact many have no idea this profession exists. I just stumbled into it.

Or even how the single mom up there with the homeless son was saying her son is content without a survival cube (house) and yet I know some of the people here look down on that because 99% sees the consumerism ideas.

I have a house because I dont like bugs, or being in the elements...plus I have a son that I will leave it too so that he doesn't have to struggle, he can just live life and paint pictures or save the planet.

Just because I worked all my life doesn't mean I want him too. That right there is what these people don't get, and likely you for that matter.

I dont want my son to grow up and be just like me, I want him to be better and I know he can.

the whole point is EVERYONE CAN AFFORD TO BUILD AND BUY. PEOPLE AREN'T TOO POOR; IT'S PREDATORY. YOU ARE JUST ASSUMING EVERYONE MAKES LESS THAN YOU; EVEN PEOPLE WHO WORK INSTEAD OF LORDING.
Give him enough time and he will contradict himself. When his circular logic gets really bad, he claims to be trolling. It's just joey. Didn't know he was this bad of a liberal when it came to land ownership, kind of surprising to be honest.
not surprising one bit. i used to get banned all the time on this site for talking about weed becoming legal. Hey! Guess what!

you guys are living in the past. you can call me whatever you want; but i'm not wrong.
corporations buying houses is a new phenomenon. i noticed how everyone *conveniently* is just overlooking all the obstacles that now exist for a *first time* home buyer.
50,000,000 illegals, a good number of them in Oklahoma, all needing a place to live is a new phenomenon. i noticed how everyone *conveniently* is just overlooking this obstacle.

people hoarding houses is a fairly recent phenomenon.

>First-time buyers make up only 33% of all home buyers.

so you've got 33% of all buyers, and from my earlier informative posts (which you guys can't into) we know that corporations are buying anywhere from 15%-25% of all homes sold. so take those homes right out; now you're looking at first time buyers only being able to purchase from the pool minus those home. that's now 75% of all homes available actually being available.

lets see, anyone come up with a SINGLE anecdote about buying YOUR FIRST HOUSE recently? like.....months ago? are you seriously thinking you are making any point that i haven't already heard? you have yet to address a single one of my complaints; that i assure you are real and MANY people feel the effects of. even you; you are just too dense to understand how we're all connected.

If these folks want to own 2300 homes/businesses/cars/whore houses (where legal)/head of cattle or what the crap ever it is then so be it.
you don't understand wealth distribution. it would take very few people to literally buy everything. you have no idea how rich rich people are.

and get this; they *don't* buy every available property just because they can. ask yourself; why?
