I thought about sprinklers on the building eaves for fire suppression. Of course the fluid might have dye and other identifying material in it. Would work on a car i suppose. Diesel comes to mind. Not so explosive but surely convincing to the recipient.

Could get expensive on the repainting after usage but I like it. Don't install one on a wrapped vehicle. Poof!

I still think for stopping major riots in cities, septic tank trucks with sprayer nozzles is the way to go.
